Will Ajith reunite Gowtham-Harris?

Cloud 9 Movies producer Durai Dayanithi has broken te suspense about Ajith's 50th film. In a interview, he said that he is going to produce Ajith's 50th movie and it will be directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon.

At first, it was gossiped that A.R.Rahman would be the music director of Ajith's 50th movie but sources close to A.R.Rahman say that he's more busy with his international projects and he didn't decide about this film yet. To our surprise, sources very close to Harris Jeyaraj say that Gautham menon has approached Harris Jeyaraj for Ajith's 50th movie.

Remember that, previously, Harris through his PRO announced that he is parting away with his friend Gautham. Harris and Gautham made their debut together through the 2001 romantic musical, 'Minnale'. They worked together in many films like 'Kakka Kakka', 'Vettaiyadu Vilaiyadu' till 'Vaaranam Aayiram. Every album from this combo has been a massive hit. Due to some misunderstanding, they parted away after Vaaranam Aayiram. Gautham later used A.R.Rahman for his next movie Vinnai Thaandi Varuvaaya.

True friends cant be parted away permanently. They will surely join again with extra freshness and energy.

After few months, Gautham released a statement that he is ready to work with Harris. As a reply, Harris in his statement, said that God will decide, when they have to work together again.

We believe that the time which Harris told, has come now. Yes, Gautham menon has approached Harris Jeyaraj for Ajith's 50th movie. If the deal ends in a fruitful manner, then it will be the first ever film of Ajith - Harris combo and surely it will be a chartbuster. We can expect a different flavour from Ajith - Gautham - Harris combo.

I'm ready to work with Ajith: Vishnuvardhan

 

Even as a guessing game is on as to who would be the director of Ajith’s 50th film, Vishnuvardhan, who had directed the actor’s magnum opus ‘Billa’, has said that he was always ready to work with Ajith.

“It is true that we (Vishnuvardhan and Ajith) discussed about making a film together. But things are yet to be finalised. I have a lot of respect for Ajith. And I am ready to direct a film for him whenever he invites me,” the filmmaker said.

Times of India: The Final Combo

It is almost confirmed that Gautham Menon will be directing Ultimate Star Ajith in his 50th film, that will be produced by Dhayanidhi Alagiri. It clearly means that Vishnuvardhan and Venkat Prabhu — who were in the race to direct the star — have lost out.

Gautham was supposed to have collaborated with producers Prabhu and Ramkumar for his film with Ajith. But, the project fell through due to difference of opinion between the director and the hero. Now, insiders claim that what clinched the deal for Gautham is his association wih producer Alagiri, with whom he shares a good rapport after their last hit together, Vaaranam Aayiram.

Though AR Rahman’s name is being tossed around as the music director, his international commitments have made him too busy. Tamannaah is the front runner to be Ajith’s heroine in the film, which will start rolling after Ajith’s Asal releases in February. The buzz is that the film will be an edge-of-the-seat-thriller, with all essential commercial ingredients.

Durai Dayanidi confirms his project with Ajith

In a Christmas special live program in Kalaignar Tv yesterday (Dec 26, 2009), Durai Dayanidhi, son of union minister Alagiri, confirmed that he is doing Ajith's 50th movie under his Cloud 9 movies banner. He said that the movie will be directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon. He also added that the project commences from March 2010.

ASAL unit moves to Middle East....

Much expected Asal's shooting is over except only one song. As far as finished, everyone is very happy with the outcome of the film and it wont be like usual masala movies. Songs too have been composed specially for fans. Vairamuthu has once again created the magic with his powerful lyrics.

The cast and crew of Asal is going to a Middle East country for the remaining song shoot. The Asal unit leaves Chennai on Dec 26th and returns after a week. The shooting of Asal completes fully with that song.

The audio launch is expected to released on Jan 4, 2010

Ajith decides on Vishnuvardhan?

Ajith seems to have decided on Vishnuvardhan to direct his next film. If sources are to be believed, it is neither Venkat Prabhu nor Gautham Menon, as reported by the media a few days ago. Apparently, Ajith is not convinced with the storylines narrated to him. And when Vishnuvardhan came up with his script, the actor decided to lap it up.

For now, it looks like Vishnuvardhan is the man that will wield the megaphone for Ajith’s landmark film. Official confirmation are expected soon.

Racer Ajith awes stunt expert

Ajith’s racing DNA came to the fore once again during the shooting schedule of Asal in France.

The unit was shooting a car chase sequence and a stunt expert named Patrick who specialized in car chase sequences had been roped in for the job. At a particular point, the car in which Ajith’s character is supposed to be traveling was required to do some risky maneuvers. Patrick requested Ajith to make way for a body double to drive the car for these shots. But, Ajith was insistent on driving the car himself and pulled off the required maneuvers with ease. Patrick was a bit awed because he had never seen an actor being so good at the wheel at such high speeds. Quite obviously, he did not know much about Ajith’s racing history and that he was a man who was close to choosing car racing as a profession. 

Let’s hope that the car chase sequence turns out to be a thrilling experience on screen.

Sameera thanks Ajith and Gowtham

What would’ve been a routine birthday bash for Sameera Reddy on last Sunday night turned out to be a very special occasion when Priyadarshan, who has just given the actress her first hit since Race in De Dana Dan, turned around and said, “You’re in my next film."

Sameera, who has become very close to Priyan and his wife Lizzie and in fact spends all her free time during her frequent visits to Chennai in their house, is still reeling under pleasure.

“I couldn’t have got a better birthday gift. Firstly, it turned out to be Priyan and Lizzie’s marriage anniversary. So, we had my birthday and their anniversary party at Shristi Behl’s residence. All three of us — Lizzie, Priyan and I — cut a cake.”

The icing on the cake was Priyan’s impulsive offer.

“I don’t need to ask him what it is or in which film. I trust him completely. He gave me a role in De Dana Dan that did justice to my presence. This, at a time when I was desperately trying to shed my sexy image,” said this Asal star.

Not many people know this, but Sameera has a secret special appearance in Priyan’s untitled film based in Bihar, that he’s shooting with Ajay Devgn, Akshaye Khanna and Bipasha Basu in Karaikudi.

“So, that makes it three film with Priyan. I’m really lucky to have Priyan and his wife as my friends. In fact, my last Tamil film was mixed in Priyan’s studio in Chennai. So, the bond only thickens,” she gushed and added, “Now, when I go to Chennai, which is like a second home to me, thanks to the films that I have signed with Ajith and Gautham Menon, I have one more place to stay in!”
